One message, four ways to write it
i10, i11, AL5 and C1 all carry the same message on an Electrolux dishwasher. The machine is either getting too little water or cannot sense that any is coming in.
How the dishwasher signals it
For i10 and i11 the dishwasher gives a single beep, and the warning light flashes one time. These codes are listed on the Electrolux UK support page. The US owner guide does not include them.
Temporary triggers to rule out first
Electrolux stresses that a code is not automatic proof of a failed part. Short-lived conditions can set it off:
- low water pressure
- filters that are blocked
- a restriction in the drainage
- power that was interrupted a moment ago
Before you begin troubleshooting, write the entire code down or take a photo of the display.
Signs that the fault is real
Take it seriously when the same code comes back time after time, when no program will run to the end, when the error appears directly after a cycle is started, or when water is escaping from the machine.
Other codes worth comparing
- i20: the water was not fully drained
- i30: the anti-flood protection found a leak
- iF0: the water level is abnormal
Dishwasher repair for San Francisco homes
When this supply code keeps returning, San Francisco and Bay Area owners can call (415) 449-0036 to talk through Electrolux dishwasher repair. Have the code as shown, the model number and any filter or pressure checks you have done ready to describe.
Model compatibility: Electrolux reuses codes across series and model years, so i10 / i11 / AL5 / C1 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
