When a gas dryer takes too long, the answer is often in the vent that leads out of the building.
The ELTG7600AT is a current 600 Series gas laundry tower, with a gas-fired dryer on top and a washer below. Its dryer needs both a gas supply and a clear exhaust path. In many San Francisco row houses and stacked flats the vent route crosses a ceiling space or a shaft, and that route is where drying problems usually begin.
If loads come out warm and damp, or the cycle ends early, think air first. A gas burner needs enough airflow to run and to stay below its safety limits. When lint builds up, a flexible duct gets crushed, or a wall cap sticks shut, the dryer overheats, a protective part cuts the burner, and the clothes never finish. A technician measures nothing at random; the technician looks at the duct path, the cap, the blower and then the ignition parts in that order.
Do not remove the duct behind the tower, and never disturb the gas line. A gas smell means leave the home and call the gas utility or 911 from outside.
Do not run the dryer empty to test it for long periods, and do not slide the tower out to look at the duct. A stuck cap or a flattened duct is easier for a technician to confirm with the stack properly handled.
If the washer below leaves clothes soaked, check the drain hose for a kink and the standpipe for a clog before assuming a pump fault.
You will usually find the label on the washer door frame or inside the dryer opening. This one ends in AT; its sibling ELTG7600AW ends in AW, so read the final letters carefully when you call. The electric version in this series is ELTE7600AT.

Restricted exhaust is the most common reason. Filter, duct and outdoor cap are checked before the burner parts.
Yes. It is a gas model in the 600 Series.
Cleaning the filter is fine. Disconnecting the duct behind a stacked unit is better left to us, since it sits near the gas connector.
Write down when it stops and any code shown. That timing helps separate a heat cut-off from a control fault.
